01The Challenge
A Tier 1 automotive supplier operating three legacy MES systems alongside a newly-deployed SAP S/4HANA instance had no automated data flow between production and enterprise systems. Production data was manually re-entered into SAP daily — a process involving 4 data entry staff and generating a daily reconciliation backlog.
02Our Approach
We deployed a SAP middleware integration layer using SAP Integration Suite, complemented by custom adapters for each legacy MES system. Integration was designed idempotently — ensuring no duplicate records regardless of network interruptions during manufacturing cycles.
03The Solution
Real-time bidirectional integration between SAP S/4HANA and all three MES systems, with automated quality management workflows and a production visibility dashboard for plant management.
